Vijay Kasi
|
Biography
Vijay Kasi is currently a doctoral candidate in the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. He is part of the Center for Process Innovation (CEPRIN), an interdisciplinary organization established to collaborate closely with industry partners. He holds a master’s degree in engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree from Anna University, India. His research program is interdisciplinary as he seeks to investigate the role of technology and innovation in organizations. This focus has dictated his research program and resulted in several scholarly publications and reports.
His research program is composed of three primary streams:
- Managing technology and innovation projects
- Inter-organizational issues related to managing technology and innovation projects
- Leveraging technology and innovation to develop process capabilities
Vijay has used various approaches for his research including quantitative techniques, modeling and simulation and qualitative techniques for his research. Vijay has taught several business courses at Georgia State University. Vijay was recently selected to receive CEPRIN teaching award for excellence in teaching for the year 2005-2006. His teaching interests echo his research interests as well as his background. He is interested in teaching technical courses such as database management, programming languages and system analysis and design, in addition to managerial courses such as project management, supply chain management and outsourcing management. He is actively involved in the research community as a member of the Academy of Management (AOM) and the Association of Information Systems (AIS). He has served as a reviewer for journals and conferences, including Information Systems Journal (ISJ), Journal of Association of Information Systems (JAIS), Journal of Management Information Systems (JMIS), and conferences including ICIS, HICSS, and ECIS. Vijay has research and consulting experience with clients working as a Senior Research Analyst and Consultant for the Institute for Customer Relationship Management (iCRM), a consulting company based in Atlanta, GA.
